outstanding performance in safety standards, skills, and professionalism and the deduction of stars for non-compliance with the Seafarers\u2019 Code of Conduct under the guidelines within the Compliance Enforcement Manual. This was introduced through DGMA Order No. 10 of 2025 to come into force on January 1, 2026, to promote compliance with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indosearch.in\/learn\/understanding-the-preliminary-of-merchant-shipping-act-2025\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.indosearch.in\/learn\/understanding-the-preliminary-of-merchant-shipping-act-2025\/\">Merchant Shipping Act<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legalbabu.com\/mlc-2006-certification\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MLC 2006<\/a>. The levels within DGMA enforcement relate to the promotion of accountability among seafarers and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indosearch.in\/rpsl\/\">RPSL companies<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"what-is-the-dgs-star-system-for-seafarers\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_Is_the_DGMA_Star_System_for_Seafarers\"><\/span><strong>What Is the DGMA Star System for Seafarers?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The proposed DGMA Star System is a rating system based on performance, as described in section 6.7 of the manual. Seafarers are rewarded stars according to their own rating, rating by their counterparts, as well as their rating according to their supervisors regarding their ability to navigate, maintain ships, and their obedience to standards. Negligence, violation, or misconduct is punished through deductions of negative stars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It encourages a professional culture through linkage to the INDOS database for a clear and transparent system.
