This is my honest review based on my personal experience. Grace International Overseas, Mumbai, hires candidates for Modern Insulation Industries Company (MIIC), Riyadh. Mr. Irfan is the responsible person acting as the agent at the Mumbai office. I was charged ?85,000 for the job. When I questioned this high amount, I was told it included visa charges, air ticket, stamping fees, and service charges. Medical and other expenses were paid separately by me. Since this was my first journey to the Gulf, I trusted them. My job location was verbally confirmed as Riyadh, and based on this assurance, I accepted the offer. Initially, I was kept in Riyadh for a few days. Later, without prior written information or consent, I was sent around 1,400 km away from Riyadh, near a border location. The work environment there was extremely poor. Some employees and supervisors were rude, threatening, and unprofessional, mainly due to their internal issues with management. One supervisor even told me that employees work 8 hours, return to accommodation, and then falsely write 4 hours of overtime, which is illegal and unethical. If anyone from the Saudi Electricity Board or related authorities reads this, please take this into action, and be cautious about such practices. Due to safety concerns and fear for my life at that remote location, I returned to Riyadh to speak with MIIC management. Unfortunately, I was not allowed to explain my situation properly. They kept interrupting and finally told me either to work at that far location or return to my country. I explained that this was my first visit to KSA and requested them to post me on a project near the city, so that I could adjust to the work and environment. I also told them that later they could post me to any location. When they did not listen to my request, I decided to return to my country. At that point, the company demanded that I pay the visa and flight charges again, claiming that they had never received these payments from the agent This clearly shows a serious mismatch and lack of transparency between the Mumbai agent and the Riyadh company. The agent says everything was included, while the company denies it. In the end, the candidate suffers financially and mentally. Now the agent says they had already informed that the location could be anywhere, which was never clearly communicated in writing. My humble advice to job seekers: • Never trust verbal promises • Ask the agent to provide written email confirmation of: o Total charges and breakup o Exact job location o Nature of work • Ask for the company’s official email ID and confirm your job details directly with them before paying any money Both the agent and the company failed to take responsibility. The company does not listen to employees properly, and the agent’s lack of transparency caused serious hardship.
